Global parts managment at SMS group

Since 2006, PARTsolutions from CADENAS has been providing central access to all parts of the SMS group to identical parts information. SMS companies worldwide are now to be integrated into SAP with their catalogs, manufacturers and standards.

The 18th Industry-Forum of CADENAS GmbH welcomed over 200 national and international visitors from the areas of machine and plant engineering, electrical engineering as well as architecture, who were informed about trends and developments in Strategic Parts Management, Electronic Product Catalogs and Building Information Modeling (BIM).

An eCATALOGsolutions Electronic Product Catalog by CADENAS was seamlessly integrated into the existing website, CRM and eShop. Customers can select the product, configure, and then check the availability and price before buying it directly online.

A Multi CAD system environment presents enormous difficulties for engineers as well as for the respective companies. With PARTsolutions as a real multitalent for Multi CAD, effective parts management is achieved.

Planning and configuration of cable routing for systems and machines is time-consuming and complex. PFLITSCH has developed the tool easyRoute to optimize cable planning.

A new version of the cloud-based CAD solution Autodesk Fusion 360 for 3D modelling has been available since the end of 2016. Thus, a completely new user interface of the 3D CAD models download service “parts4cad” from CADENAS was introduced.

CADENAS has provided users of the 3D CAD models download portal PARTcommunity with a number of new functions that lead more quickly to the needed standard and purchased parts.

Murrplastik Systemtechnik GmbH, as one of the worldwide leading system providers of professional cable management, simplifies the configuration of energy chains with ChainBuilder 2.0.

Architects and civil engineers can download needed 3D BIM CAD models in various native CAD formats on the BIMcatalogs portal. Another format has now been added: HiCAD (3D) from Version 2011 on is available now and that since December.

Parker’s new T-Slot Aluminum Design Architect created with CADENAS’ Interactive Product Configurator is a 3D software tool for assembling profiles and accessories into a design. With the new solution, engineers can quickly turn their concepts into completion.

CADENAS provides a new download record: In 2016, more than 212 million digital engineering data were downloaded from the extensive selection of manufacturer catalogs.

CADENAS PARTsolutions LLC will participate as an exhibitor at the COE 2017 Annual Conference & TechniFair on April 23rd - 27th, 2017 in Orlando, USA.
